Advice built on principle, not products.
We started Artha Neeti because too much of the financial advice industry is built to sell something — especially to families whose financial lives are complex enough to deserve better. Here's what we built instead.
Why Artha Neeti exists
Vivekanand Ramakrishnan holds a Master's in Computer Science from NC State — and could have built a career writing code. Instead, he set out to answer a question that kept bothering him: how does someone spend thirty years working, saving, and paying taxes in this country — and never once have anyone sit down and explain what to do with it?
That question had a face. A family friend who'd spent 20-plus years at the same job, never realizing his retirement savings could have been shielded from market swings all along. A relative who went along with the conventional way of funding his kids' college tuition, simply because no one had ever walked him through the downsides — or the more flexible options available. A family just five years out from retirement, still working off the same generic advice they'd been given in their thirties, with no idea what a tax-free income bucket could do for them. None of them lacked the discipline to build wealth — what they lacked was someone in their corner translating the system into a plan. Artha Neeti exists to be that person, bringing over six years of financial planning experience across different U.S. states to families who've spent decades being underserved by an industry built to sell products, not explain them.
Today, Artha Neeti works with a deliberately limited number of households so that every client gets a plan built specifically around them — reviewed, adjusted, and never left on autopilot.
What "Artha Neeti" means
Two Sanskrit words that describe exactly the kind of firm we set out to build — wealth pursued with discipline and conducted with integrity.
One of the four traditional aims of a well-lived life — prosperity pursued not for its own sake, but as a means to security, freedom, and the ability to care for the people who matter to you.
Policy, ethics, and discipline — the idea that how a decision is made matters as much as the decision itself.
The principles behind every plan
Transparent compensation, always
We're compensated through commissions paid by the carriers and providers we work with — and we'll tell you exactly how, and how much, before you ever sign anything. No hidden loads, no fine print to go looking for.
Your interests come first
Every recommendation is measured against one question: is this genuinely right for your situation? If a product doesn't clear that bar, we don't recommend it — regardless of what it pays us.
Plans over products
Every recommendation starts from your full financial picture, not from a product that needs selling. If the right answer is "do nothing," we'll say so.
Plain language, always
You should understand every recommendation we make well enough to explain it to someone else. If you don't, we haven't done our job.
A relationship, not a transaction
Markets, jobs, and families change. We meet at least annually to make sure your plan keeps up with your life, not the other way around.
Deliberately small
We limit the number of households we work with so every client gets real attention — not a call-center rotation.
